The newly built 17,000 square-foot headquarters is home to Metropolitan’s executive offices, including private banking, commercial lending and mortgage lending. As in the former headquarters, it also has a retail banking office. The new office currently employs 19 associates, which was the driving force of bank leadership’s decision to move into an expanded space. It includes a two-lane drive-through, a drive-up ATM and walk-up ATM, a board room and two conference rooms and LifeSize video conferencing capability (now in all Metropolitan offices). The exterior of the building was designed by the late Michael Barranco and the Dale Partners firm. Canizarra, Cawthon and Davis designed the building’s interior, and Harrell Contracting Group oversaw the construction. All firms involved in the design and construction are local to Jackson, Miss.
