What are the advantages of Popmoney?

With Popmoney, you can send personal payments to individuals using only an email address or mobile phone number. You can also schedule same-day or overnight bill payments. Certain billers offer immediate posting or real-time payment reporting (credit of payment may require up to 2 days; payment posted date reflects scheduled payment data at the biller).

How do I enroll in Popmoney?

If you’re currently enrolled in Bill Pay, you’re automatically enrolled in the Popmoney option.

How do I submit a personal payment with Popmoney?

You simple click on the “Pay People” tab in online banking, then enter the person’s name, email address or mobile phone number, the amount you want to pay, and then simply initiate the payment.

How does my recipient access personal payments via Popmoney?

If your recipient has already signed up for Popmoney, the money is automatically deposited into a designated account. If the recipient has not signed up for the service, the recipient will receive an invitation that explains how to sign up and claim the money from the Popmoney direct site.

How long do personal payment recipients have to claim the money with Popmoney?

Your recipient has 12 days to accept the invitation and claim the money. If the money has not been claimed within 7 days, your recipient receives a reminder email or text message. After the 12th day, the invitation expires, and the recipient can no longer accept the payment.

Is there a fee for using Popmoney for personal payments?

There is a 55₵ fee each time you use the service.

Is it possible to schedule bill payment on the same day?

You can now schedule same-day payments. Certain billers offer immediate posting or real-time payment reporting (credit of payment may require up to 2 days; payment posted date reflects scheduled payment data at the biller).

Is there a fee for same-day bill payments?

You’ll see the Earliest Available FREE payment date populated in the Pay Date Field. When you click the Dynamic Calendar Icon, if a same-day payment can be made that day, it will be indicated along with a fee amount of $10.95 for the service. If you choose to use the same-day service, you’ll complete two additional confirmation steps. Your final confirmation provides a recap of the payment amount scheduled and the fee for the service. When you click the Submit Payment button, the payment will begin processing immediately and the transaction cannot be cancelled or reversed.

When would I need an overnight check payment?

Occasionally immediate payment is not offered with some billers. If your payment is extremely time-sensitive, you can request an overnight check.

Is there a fee for overnight check bill payments?

Overnight check payments can be sent to any biller within the 48 contiguous United States for a fee of $16.95.

How is my overnight check delivered?

When making overnight payments, UPS will provide delivery, and you’ll receive a tracking number via email. The service is not offered for PO Boxes, international, or military addresses. The cutoff time for all Overnight Check payments is 1 PM CST. All overnight check payments are sent as draft checks and cannot be scheduled for weekend or holiday delivery.

How do I request an overnight check?

Once you’ve completed the transaction, you’ll receive two email messages. The first will be a confirmation email indicating your choice to send an overnight check, and the second email will include the UPS tracking number for payment.
